i must say (as on blogspot)

First here is the definition that some people are unaware of:

Pagan– one of a people or community observing a polytheistic religion, as the ancient Romans and Greeks. a person who is not a Christian, Jew, or Muslim. an irreligious or hedonistic person.

There are many many types of pagans out there. They consist mainly of those that are not of the abrahamic religions. Now not everyone outside of those monotheistic religions calls themselves a pagan, however, pagan is an umbrella term for those religions, whether they call themselves that or not. Pagan being an umbrella term as it is, you can get a more technical look at each religion that is within the pagan community. And there are so many! The neo pagans are what is the newer version of older religions, Wicca being only 60 years old or so would be one of those, along with Asatru (the norse pagans). And of course many many more. There are a number of people who misunderstand a lot of what they read, and believe Wicca to be the oldest religion in the world, when that is not the case. Wicca was created by Gardner, who took his philosophies and studies of the old religion of Witchcraft, along with other things and started Wicca. Which is a newer version of older religion. Just to clarify. But that does not mean it is not important, for it is a valid religion. And a very good one at that. There are certain rules that one has to follow, I consider it actually very good for one to learn discipline in a world where discipline is lacking. Neo Wicca, is a solitary practioner, for the simple fact that Traditional Wicca is a just that, traditional, and to be involved in that, one must be intitiated into a coven. My advice when searching for a wiccan path, STUDY your butt off. The only material you will find is outer court material, because in Wiccan covens there are traditions passed down only through them, and you will not find it in any books. You can not self intitiate, the word intitiation means to be brought into a group. You can self dedicate, which is another thing entirely. And I must say that spell work is not a joke, its not something to dabble with. If you are serious about a religion then do just that, study and learn as much as you can, because you do not want any form of a spell to blow up in your face. Its not a party trick.
I, am not a wiccan, however, I enjoy studying what is out there.
Currently, I study the old norse paganism(or about as old as I can find), and Theistic Satanism. In correct term I guess I would be called an Odnist/theistic satanism study. Or atleast that is in the about me sections of my pages on my site and the ones that I am a member of. One thing that ticks me off to no end, is the misunderstandings of people within their ignorance. To say it here so I wont have to say it later. Satanism is not devil worship, not the christian version of evil or any such nonsense. What it is, is the study and basically worship of ones self. Being your own god, and bettering yourself and living life to the fullest, without the misrepresentation of the church. There is also Luciferianism, which is a spiritual form of satanism. But not so much as to any worship( depending on the individual) it is a spiritual free thinker. I will post more on that subject later.
I am a compassionate person and I love the human race. I have christian friends, and I enjoy their company. But the moment that anyone decides to tell me that my faith or religion is wrong is the moment that I pounce.
In all truth, my “label” changes a lot, the more I studied, the more I realized that I had no idea what my path truly is. I simply called myself a STUDY of so and so. I joined a group on one site, a Luciferianism group, and the more I read on that, the more I see myself and my morals, my principals, my life. So in a sigh of relief, I found it, my path. (So when I get the permission from the author to post the information, I will do so. ) I have always delved deep into my own mind to find what I truly am, that being one of my main obsessions, shadow work. I am a self explorer and that entails many many things and would take forever to explain.

One Response to “i must say (as on blogspot)”

  1. Ok so here is how I feel about it…we all need something to believe in…something to make us feel like we have a purpose in life. I don’t care what you believe in…I think you’re a nice person and regardless if you tell me you worship Buddha I will feel that way. I enjoy reading your blogs because you are open minded and you give me a outlook on life that everyday life doesn’t have at times. I believe that if people wouldn’t judge other people based on their beliefs then the world woudl be a little nicer. Because, as you make a good point, people jump to conclusions about wiccans and any other religion they are not familiar with. So…nice blog…thanks for a good read…again.
